CIIIC Kern: Demand-driven practice-oriented research into immersive experiences

The immersive experiences (IX) sector is developing rapidly, but questions remain about how these technologies can be applied responsibly and effectively. With CIIIC Kern, a program implemented by the Regieorgaan SIA, we provide space for demand-driven, practice-oriented research that strengthens the knowledge base of the IX field and delivers concrete solutions for SMEs and the public sector.

This call focuses on research projects in which methods for applying and deploying IX are tested and validated. Consider research on how public values can be safeguarded in IX applications, how staff shortages can be addressed with IX, or what prerequisites are necessary for responsible deployment of IX within public organizations. By bringing together consortia of research organizations, SMEs, and public organizations, we stimulate innovation through co-creation and lay a solid foundation for strategic investments in IX.
