Talent & Skills
Within CIIIC, it is not only about technology or innovation. It is mainly about people.
With Talent & Skills (also known as human capital), we ensure that there are enough well-trained professionals to work with, develop, and apply Immersive Experiences (IX). Now and in the future.
This covers the whole chain: from creators and developers to professionals in sectors such as healthcare, safety, media, and education. It also includes all levels of talent: practical, technical, creative, and academic.
We want people to understand what IX is, what you can do with it, and what opportunities it offers. At the same time, it is important to pay attention to the societal impact and public values of this technology.
The development of Talent & Skills is therefore broader than education alone. It is also about cooperation between education, research, companies, and public organisations. This helps knowledge move faster into practice, so that knowledge reaches practice more quickly and is then used again in education and research.
Why Talent & Skills?
The growth of IX requires more people with the right knowledge and skills. Without people, there is no application, no innovation, and no impact. That is why CIIIC works on strengthening the entire talent pool for IX. For all roles in the chain and for all sectors where IX is used.
Our goal
With Talent & Skills, we aim to:
- ensure enough well-trained professionals in IX
- improve cooperation between learning and working
- speed up the development of new knowledge and skills
- increase the inflow of new talent
- improve the connection between education and practice
Learning Communities
An important part of Talent & Skills are the Learning Communities.
These are collaborations between:
- education
- research
- companies
- and public organisations
Together, they develop new ways of learning and working with IX. These are tested in practice, then improved and scaled up. This ensures that learning and innovation stay closely connected.
Themes
Within Talent & Skills, we work on six themes:
- increasing awareness of IX among users
- strengthening cooperation in the IX value chain
- translating real-world questions into IX concepts
- distribution and infrastructure
- making IX scalable and reproducible
- safeguarding public values in the IX value chain
Who is it for?
Talent & Skills is for:
- students and young talent
- working professionals
- career switchers from other sectors
- teachers and trainers
Building the future together
With Talent & Skills, we are building a strong and flexible ecosystem.
A place where learning, working, and innovation come together.
This is how we ensure that the Netherlands is ready for the growth of Immersive Experiences (IX), now and in the future.
