Five consortia selected within the ADRIE scheme
We are incredibly happy to announce that the selection for the first round of the Artistic & Design Research for Immersive Experiences (ADRIE) program is now available!
Heleen Rouw, program director CIIIC: ‘With this selection, we take an important step in further rolling out the CIIIC program. We see how strong and diverse the field is and how much energy there is to build the future of immersive experiences in the Netherlands together. Thanks to the Stimuleringsfonds for the careful execution and congratulations to the five selected consortia. We warmly invite all other applicants to engage with us about the opportunities within CIIIC, so that we can work together towards a strong, connected, and innovative immersive community.’
The first round has produced five strong consortia that will begin preparations for innovative research and collaboration in the coming period. The scheme is implemented within CIIIC by the Creative Industries Fund and marks an important step in the further development of the Dutch IX ecosystem.
The five selected consortia
- HEFT: IX Heritage of the Future – Focuses on strengthening the Dutch IX ecosystem with research into embodied engagement, collectivity, and sustainability.
- LAUNCHPAD NINE – Builds a circular model for sustainable production, distribution, and documentation of immersive media.
- Listening to a multi-voiced world – Develops and researches immersive listening: spatial and layered audio experiences with transformative potential.
- Shared Realities – Develops strategies and exhibition forms for collective immersive experiences in physical spaces.
- Thuis – Investigates how IX can contribute to feelings of connection, belonging, and community building.
The selection for this first round is an important beginning. For consortia that were unfortunately not honored this time, or for parties and groups with new ambitions, there are still plenty of opportunities.
