1. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA?
This is the privacy statement of the Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition (hereafter: “CIIIC”, “we”, “our”, etc.). Through this four-year program, funded by the National Growth Fund, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW), CLICKNL, and four implementation partners (NWO/Regieorgaan SIA, RVO, TNO, and Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie) aim to enable the creative industry and content creators to capitalize on opportunities surrounding immersive experiences. CIIIC also places a strong focus on safeguarding public values, such as privacy and inclusion, in the new digital, hybrid, immersive worlds.
CIIIC attaches great importance to privacy and the protection of personal data. In this privacy statement, we describe how we handle personal data and the rights you have as a data subject. All personal data is collected, processed, and secured in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). CIIIC is the controller for the processing activities described in this privacy statement.

3. FROM WHOM DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?
We process personal data from individuals with whom we have direct or indirect contact or have had contact with in the past. Examples include: our contacts in the creative and knowledge industries, future contacts, their representatives, individuals connected to companies we have a relationship with, have had a relationship with, or wish to establish a relationship with, including suppliers, and anyone who shows interest in our activities.
4. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

5. HOW DO WE OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Most of the data we receive is provided directly by you, such as when you fill out information on our website, communicate with us, or participate in an event or project. We may also actively approach individuals who may be interested in CIIIC’s activities. Additionally, when you visit our website www.ciiic.nl, we use cookies to collect information about your visit. For more information, see section "10 Cookies". If you follow CIIIC on social media or communicate with or about CIIIC, we may have access to part of your public profile data. If you share information about CIIIC via social media, your data may be visible through those platforms. CIIIC also monitors social media channels and may gain access to data on social media related to you.

7. TO WHOM DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL DATA?
CIIIC may use third-party services to process your data in accordance with this privacy statement. These parties act as processors for CIIIC, and CIIIC ensures that these parties provide sufficient guarantees regarding technical and organizational security measures. Third parties acting as processors for CIIIC will have a data processing agreement that stipulates they will process data solely on behalf of CIIIC. When we organize an event or project together with third parties, we may share data with them. If necessary, we will inform you separately about this. Your data will also be shared with other parties outside CIIIC if we are legally required to do so, such as supervisory authorities, or if we need to perform a contract with you or fulfill our commitments to you. Additionally, we will share your data with other parties that we need in the context of our services.
8. DO WE TRANSFER PERSONAL DATA TO OTHER COUNTRIES?
CIIIC may use third-party services to process your data in accordance with this privacy statement. These parties may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Your personal data will only be stored or processed outside the EEA by us or by third parties if this complies with the applicable regulations for transferring personal data to countries outside the EEA. This means that we will only transfer your personal data to countries outside the EEA if the European Commission has decided that the third country ensures an adequate level of protection, or if other appropriate safeguards are provided.
9. HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR DATA?
Your data will not be kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed. CIIIC has different retention periods depending on the purpose and category of data. If we no longer need personal data for the purposes described above, we may still retain the data for archiving, legal proceedings, or research purposes.
10. COOKIES
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit our website. Cookies help us make the website function and analyze its performance. Cookies remember data from your previous visit so that the site works better and so that we can improve the website. 11. WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF A BUSINESS TRANSFER?
In the future, parts or assets of CIIIC may be transferred to a third party or CIIIC may merge with a third party. In such a case, your personal data may be transferred to that third party. CIIIC will inform you in advance in such cases.
12. WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

- Right to object to processing or direct marketing. You have the right to object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest. We will then reassess whether your data should no longer be used. You can also object specifically to the use of your data for direct marketing

- Right to lodge a complaint. You can lodge a complaint with CIIIC via info@ciiic.nl or with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
13. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification of personal data. Only individuals who need access based on their role will process your personal data. All these individuals are bound by confidentiality agreements.
14. CHANGES
We may modify our privacy statement from time to time. This could be due to new data processing activities or changes in regulations or technological developments. In case of significant changes, we will notify you. If necessary, we will ask for your consent for any modified or new processing.
