Are you a creator of Immersive Experiences (IX) and would you like to share your knowledge and experience with the sector? Through this call, we are selecting creators from the IX field who want to develop existing training concepts into practice-oriented training modules. These training modules are designed to provide professionals in the field with specific knowledge and skills from the IX domain. CLICKNL will guide the process and is responsible for the assessment and selection.

The purpose of the training modules

With the CIIIC Training Modules, we aim to make knowledge and skills from the IX field accessible to a broader group of professionals. The modules address concrete knowledge and skills needs in the field and are focused on direct practical application.

The training modules focus both on specific IX skills, such as knowledge of technical requirements, and on skills needed to successfully apply IX, such as increasing clients’ understanding of IX. In this way, the CIIIC Training Modules help make knowledge and experience from the field more widely available and applicable.

The training modules are intended for, among others, creative professionals, clients from a range of application areas, trainers, and other professionals across the IX value chain.

Who can participate in this call?

This call is intended for entrepreneurs and creators with demonstrable expertise and experience in the field of IX.

Have you already developed a training course, workshop, or other learning experience? For example, an onboarding programme for a client or a workshop for new users? And do you see opportunities to further develop this into a fully-fledged training module for the sector? Then we invite you to participate in this call.

Do you not yet have experience in developing training programmes? You can collaborate with a public or private educational institution or training organisation. Please note: publicly funded organisations are not eligible to receive funding under this scheme.

Themes

As an applicant, you can choose from the six themes below. Perhaps you have extensive knowledge to share on several themes, or even all six. Nevertheless, we ask you to select a maximum of three themes. This will help ensure that the training modules collectively align well with the learning needs identified in the field.

  • Increasing knowledge and understanding of IX among clients and/or professionals. Do you regularly explain to your clients what IX is, what possibilities it offers, and what it requires from them? This theme focuses on developing learning models that help professionals understand the possibilities of IX and apply IX effectively in their own practice.
  • Collaborative dDevelopment across the entire IX value chain and throughout the full IX development cycle, from idea to application. Have you taken a project from idea through to delivery? And do you know how and with whom to collaborate along the way? This theme focuses on developing learning models that support effective and purposeful collaboration across the IX value chain. This ranges from design, onboarding, and user experience to market introduction. The learning models increase the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to develop IX concepts and successfully bring them into practice.
  • Translating (socially urgent) practical challenges into engaging IX concepts. Do you work with clients or professionals who have a particular challenge but do not yet know what IX could mean for them? This theme focuses on developing learning models that help creators and professionals translate a real-world challenge into an engaging and appropriate IX concept that can deliver tangible value in practice.
  • Distribution & infrastructure. Do you know how to get an IX production to the right audience and how to make it scalable? This theme focuses on promising learning models that help apply IX concepts better, faster, and at greater scale. The learning models will be developed, implemented, and evaluated.
  • Reuse, further development & scaling. Do you develop components that can be reused in a subsequent production or for another application? This theme focuses on learning models that help professionals develop IX concepts in a modular way and apply them in different contexts. For example, this could involve reusing components of a (serious) game for a social or societal application. The learning models increase the knowledge, skills, and competencies of professionals across the IX value chain in the areas of reuse and further development of IX concepts.
  • Public values. Do you know how to ensure safety, responsible use, or accessibility in your projects? This theme focuses on learning models that increase the knowledge, skills, and competencies of professionals throughout the entire IX value chain. This enables them to embed public values such as safety, responsible use, and accessibility in their projects.

How the procedure works

Timeline

Expression of Interest | Period: mid-October – mid-November 2026

Applicants can express their interest through an online survey by answering a number of questions and providing a brief explanation. Selected applicants will then be invited to submit a quotation for Development Phase 1.

Development Phase 1 | Period: March – May 2027

During this phase, applicants will develop a Proof of Concept for the training module based on an existing concept. A budget of €35,000 (including VAT) per applicant is available for a maximum of 36 applicants.

Development Phase 2 | Period: August – November 2027

Following an assessment and selection process in Phase 1, 15 applicants will further develop their Proof of Concept into fully-fledged training modules and deliver the final modules. A budget of €55,000 (including VAT) per applicant is available for a maximum of 15 applicants.

At the end of the programme, CLICKNL and CIIIC will organise a knowledge-sharing event. The training modules developed during the programme will be presented, and the community will have the opportunity to try them out themselves. Keep an eye on our social media channels and newsletter for more information and the exact date.
