Call Update: IX Labs – adjustment of financing conditions

News

The open CIIIC call regarding the development of a national infrastructure of IX Labs has been adjusted.

Based on feedback from the IX community, in consultation between CIIIC, TNO, and the Ministry of OCW, it was decided to remove the condition that 50% of the own contribution must come from private funds. However, the proposals still need to bring in at least 50% own funding.

It remains important that the IX labs are widely and easily accessible and that there is a commercial exploitation plan that provides a perspective on profitable business activities in the long term. However, the change offers more flexibility for consortia that wish to submit a proposal where the own contribution can also consist of public funds.

"We are pleased with the constructive feedback from the field and the opportunity to quickly adjust together with TNO and the Ministry of OCW. This ensures that we contribute as effectively as possible to strengthening the entire IX ecosystem with the program," said Heleen Rouw, program director CIIIC.

The adjusted call text is available today on the IX Labs call page. Later this week, an update of the Q&A and a report of the information meeting of November 12 will follow in our newsletter. Sign up for the CIIIC newsletter to stay informed.
